When you’re looking for financial education, you want to learn from people who’ve actually done it—not just talked about it. That’s exactly what Goat Academy delivers: institutional-grade investment education built on proven Wall Street principles, taught by veterans who managed billions in capital at firms like Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, and Bear Stearns.
Founded by Felix Prehn five years ago, Goat Academy has taught over 20,000 students a systematic approach to stock investing that prioritizes risk management over speculation. Here’s what we actually teach—and why it works.
Who’s Behind Goat Academy?
Goat Academy was founded by Felix Prehn, a former banker who saw a gap in financial education. Too many retail investors were learning from self-taught traders with no institutional experience. Felix had a different vision: bring together Wall Street veterans with decades of proven track records and make their knowledge accessible to everyone.
Over the past five years, Goat Academy has grown into a comprehensive education platform that’s taught more than 20,000 students. Our approach is built on the same risk management principles that institutional investors use to manage billions—adapted for busy professionals who want to invest intelligently without watching screens all day.
Felix also runs the Felix & Friends YouTube channel, which has grown to nearly 300,000 subscribers who tune in for daily market analysis and free financial education.
Our Coaches: Institutional Experience You Can Trust
What sets Goat Academy apart is simple: our coaches aren’t self-taught traders. They’re Wall Street veterans with verifiable institutional experience and a combined 150+ years in the markets.
Gerald brings an incredible 50 years of trading experience to the table. He started at the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in the 1970s, shortly after it was founded, and spent over 20 years as a market maker there. Later, he became the Head derivatives trader at hedge fund Whitebox Advisors, where he managed positions for a $3 billion fund. When Gerald teaches risk management, he’s drawing from half a century of real market experience.
Mark is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) who’s held that designation for over 20 years. But what really sets him apart is this: he traded directly for two of the greatest money managers in Wall Street history—Mario Gabelli and Steven A. Cohen. He served as Head Trader at three institutional money managers, founded the Benzinga Trading School, and taught at the New York Institute of Finance. He holds a Master’s Degree in Finance from New York University. That’s the kind of pedigree you simply can’t fake.
Andrew managed a £100 million pension fund at Scottish Equitable (now Aegon) and consistently outperformed industry benchmarks throughout the 1980s. He also worked in specialist financial research and sales at County NatWest—now known as Deutsche Bank. Based in Edinburgh, Scotland, Andrew brings decades of institutional fund management expertise to every lesson.
Elliot spent over 20 years trading options for regulated investment banks in London. He served as Head of LME Sales and Brokerage at Tower Trading Group and worked in LME Hedge Fund Sales and Brokerage at Societe Generale Corporate and Investment Banking. His deep expertise in institutional options trading and risk management is exactly what retail investors need to understand how professionals think about the markets.
These aren’t people who learned to trade from YouTube videos. They’re professionals who managed real capital at firms including Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Bear Stearns, and other top-tier institutions. They’ve seen every market cycle, navigated crashes and booms, and now they’re dedicated to teaching retail investors the same principles they used to manage billions.
What We Teach: The Wall Street Protocol
At the core of Goat Academy is what we call The Wall Street Protocol—a systematic approach to stock investing built on institutional risk management principles.
Core Focus: Risk Management First
The biggest difference between professional investors and retail traders? Professionals think about risk first, returns second. Every position has defined parameters: maximum loss, profit targets, exit strategies. Nothing is left to hope or emotion.
We teach you to think like an institutional investor:
- Systematic risk assessment before every trade
- Data-driven investment decisions based on measurable criteria
- Defined entry and exit strategies so you always know your plan
- Clear, measurable outcomes that you can track and improve
The Time Commitment: Just 2 Hours Per Week
One of the biggest myths about successful investing is that you need to watch screens all day. That’s simply not true—and it’s not sustainable for people with careers and families.
Our approach uses smart automations to eliminate noise and focus on high-value decisions. You’re not reacting to every market move; you’re making informed decisions based on your systematic process. Most of our students spend just 2 hours per week on their investing activities.
This isn’t about working harder—it’s about working smarter with proven institutional frameworks.
What Makes Us Different
Institutional-grade methodology: We don’t teach “hot tips” or speculation. We teach the same frameworks that Wall Street professionals use to manage billions in capital.
Proven frameworks from decades of experience: Our coaches have a combined 150+ years of institutional experience. These aren’t theories—they’re battle-tested strategies that have worked through multiple market cycles.
Risk management first, speculation never: Every strategy we teach has defined risk parameters. You always know your maximum loss before you enter a position.
Every strategy has defined parameters: Nothing is vague or subjective. You learn specific, measurable criteria for every decision.
Built for Real Life
Goat Academy was designed for busy professionals who want to invest intelligently without it becoming a second full-time job.
- Designed for busy professionals: Our 2-hour weekly commitment fits into real life
- Works alongside your career: You don’t need to quit your job to invest successfully
- Sustainable, long-term approach: This isn’t about getting rich quick; it’s about building wealth systematically over time
Important Disclosure: Individual results vary. Past performance does not guarantee future results. All investing involves risk, including the potential loss of principal. The education provided by Goat Academy is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial advice. Students are responsible for their own investment decisions.
Our Philosophy: Education Over Hype
Walk into any Wall Street trading floor and you won’t hear people talking about “hot stocks” or “can’t-miss opportunities.” You’ll hear systematic analysis, risk assessment, and disciplined execution.
That’s what we teach at Goat Academy.
We teach principles, not “hot tips.” Anyone can get lucky once. Building lasting wealth requires understanding fundamental principles that work across different market conditions.
Focus on building lasting skills. Our goal isn’t to give you a fish—it’s to teach you to fish. When you understand the underlying principles, you can adapt to any market environment.
Risk management is the foundation. Before you learn how to make money, you need to learn how not to lose it. Professional investors obsess over risk management, and so should you.
Empowering informed decision-making. We want you to understand why something works, not just what to do. That understanding creates confidence and independence.
Creating financial literacy and confidence. The goal is simple: give you the knowledge and skills to make informed investment decisions for the rest of your life.
Student Success Through Education
Over the past five years, Goat Academy has taught more than 20,000 students the principles of institutional-grade investing.
Our focus is on the knowledge and confidence students gain—the ability to look at the markets with a systematic framework instead of fear or confusion. We measure success by the skills built, the systematic approaches developed, and the long-term wealth-building mindset our students adopt.
When you learn to think like an institutional investor, you stop reacting emotionally to market moves. You have a plan, you follow your process, and you make decisions based on data and defined risk parameters.
That’s the difference between speculation and investing. That’s what we teach.
Important Disclosure: Testimonials and examples used are exceptional results and don’t apply to the average student. Individual results will vary based on effort, market conditions, and individual circumstances. All investing involves risk of loss.
